Joaquin Phoenix will join the list of actors that have portrayed infamous Batman villain The Joker when his new movie arrives later this year!

In the film’s first teaser trailer, which you can see above from Warner Bros. Pictures, we get a glimpse into what we can expect from Phoenix’s Joker, which is very different from Jack Nicholson or Heath Ledger’s Joker.

Joker arrives in theaters on October 4th.
