Pop Evil Comes to Freeland to Surprise Powley Street Singers [PHOTOS]

A few months ago, Freeland’s Powley Street Singers kicked off their fall concert with a performance of Pop Evil’s ‘Waking Lions.’ The band saw video of the performance and decided they wanted to do something special for the kids.

So, on Monday, April 22nd, Pop Evil came to Freeland to surprise the Powley Street Singers!

We told the students that they’d be FaceTiming with the band, which they were incredibly excited about. What they didn’t know was that the band was just a few feet away from them, waiting to surprise them.

As we set up the FaceTime, we ‘experienced technical difficulties,’ which led to the band walking in and shocking the 120 students that had gathered in the gymnasium.

After we went through all the proper introductions, the Powley Street Singers sang ‘Waking Lions’ for the band and they absolutely killed it.

Then, we gave the Powley Street Singers the opportunity to ask the band questions, which was followed by pictures and a meet and greet.

We can’t thank Pop Evil enough for coming to Freeland to surprise the Powley Street Singers. We also can’t thank Mr. Guenther and the staff at Freeland Elementary School for being so accommodating and for helping us make this happen!
