Evander Kane and Tomas Hertl scored the goals for San Jose, which won six consecutive games prior to the slide. Martin Jones made 20 saves.San Jose center Joe Pavelski, who has a team-high 37 goals, missed his fourth game in a row due to a lower-body injury. Pavelski had a hat trick in the first meeting between the teams on Feb. 24, a 5-3 Sharks victory.The Wings jumped in front just 38 seconds in the contest. Larkin got behind the defense and scored off a feed from Anthony Mantha, his 28th goal of the season. Tyler Bertuzzi also picked up an assist.That was the lone goal of the period as Bernier made 11 saves.Danny DeKeyser nearly gave Detroit a two-goal edge in the second period, but his shot clanged off the goalpost.
