Could the Smashing Pumpkins be the next big rock and roll reunion?
In a recent interview, original Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlain stated that the band has been ‘talking about playing next year with the band.’
According to NME, the original Smashing Pumpkins line-up hasn’t played together in nearly 20 years, with their last official show taking place in 1999.
Over the years, singer/guitarist Billy Corgan has trotted out a few different Smashing Pumpkins line-ups, which have included appearances by Chamberlain and guitarist James Iha. The only member that hasn’t played with Corgan since 1999 is bassist D’arcy Wretzky.
2018 is coming up pretty quick, so we should know whether or not this will actually happen very, very soon.
