Stone Temple Pilots were joined on stage in California recently by actor Johnny Depp for a cover of the MC5 classic ‘Kick Out the Jams.’
Joining STP and Depp on stage for the performance, which you can see in the video above, was original MC5 guitarist Wayne Kramer.
Depp and Kramer stuck around for the final performance of the night, which was the STP classic ‘Sex Type Thing.’
The performance was one of the highlights of STP’s tour kickoff performance in California. The tour is the first with new lead singer Jeff Gutt, who formally joined the band in 2017.
Stone Temple Pilots will release their new album, their first with Gutt, on March 16th.
