Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Big Ten has announced that all fall sports will play a conference-only schedule in the fall.

According to ESPN, the conference is making this move to help limit travel and make it easier to test student-athletes.

Sports affected by this move include football, field hockey, soccer, volleyball, and cross country.

With the move to a conference-only schedule, Michigan’s game against Washington on September 5th will not happen. Michigan State’s game against Miami on September 26th will also not take place.

The University of Michigan has already pulled its 2020 football schedule from the athletic department’s website.

Other conferences are expected to follow suit and only play conference games this year.
