It’s been a while since we’ve gotten any new music from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, 5 years to be exact.

But good news is here thanks to drummer Chad Smith. In a recent interview with New York’s Q104.3 Smith announced that the band is working on very exciting new music. Smith joked about having a gag order on him so that he doesn’t spill too much information but he did say this: “There’s something coming. We’re coming for you. I can say this, we’re making a record, we’re making new music and it’s very exciting. I don’t know when it’s coming out, but we can’t wait for people to hear it and we can’t wait to perform for people, just like everybody else that really misses that experience.”. We will just be over here impatiently waiting in the meantime.
