After being cancelled last year, due to the pandemic, the Mackinac Bridge Walk will happen this year!

According to 9and10News.com, the walk will take place on Labor Day, as it always does, and walkers will have three different options when it comes to participating:

  • They can start from St. Ignace, walk halfway up the bridge, and turn around
  • They can start from Mackinaw City, walk halfway up the bridge and turn around
  • They can walk the whole bridge, but they must make it to the halfway point by 10 a.m. and arrange their own transportation

The bridge will close on Labor Day at 6 a.m. to accommodate walkers and will not reopen until 12 p.m.
