Jason Robertson’s third-period goals clinch Stars’ win vs. Red Wings

Jason Robertson scored two third-period goals and the host Dallas Stars defeated the Detroit Red Wings 5-2 on Tuesday.Robertson, who had only one goal coming into the contest, also added an assist. Ryan Suter, Jamie Benn and Roope Hintz had the other goals for the Stars. Jake Oettinger made 28 saves.Dylan Larkin scored his fifth goal in the last five games for the Red Wings but did not play in the third period due to an undisclosed injury. Filip Zadina also scored for the Red Wings and Alex Nedeljkovic made 25 saves.Shots on goal were even at 30 and only two penalties were called.Suter scored the lone goal of the first period. His second goal of the season came on a straight-on blast just outside the slot through traffic. Radek Faksa set him up, and Robertson collected the second assist at 13:33 left in the period.Dallas outshot Detroit 12-4 in the period.Benn made it 2-0 just 1:06 into the second period. He redirected Miro Heiskanen’s shot from the point past Nedeljkovic.
